  John (1843-1916) and Charlotte, formerly Denny (Denley) (1844-1928) came to the Yandina district in 1891. On 4 September 1893 John selected 160 acres (Portion 176V, Parish of Maroochy) at the end of the present Burtons Road, near Browns Creek. The Deed of Grant was prepared 8 May 1899. The couple farmed engaged in farming. They had three daughters: Violet Olive (1884-1974) who married James (Jim) Krome in 1901, Eva Maud (1877-1965) later Mrs Beaton and Eileen Olive (1914-1981) later Mrs McIntyre. Source Sunshine Coast Council, Queensland John WRIGHT Jr. was the son of John WRIGHT and Jane ATKINSON. John Wright (Sr.) was born in England about 1805 to 1807. He married Jane Atkinson and they migrated to Tasmania in 1834. From the "Hobart Town Courier" on 5 September 1834 - "arrived same day (4th) the bark "Edward", Capt. Lindsay, 406 tons, from Woolwich 5th May, with 157 female prisoners and 23 children, under the superintendence of Surgeon Sterritt, R.N., also 9 free women and children. passengers, Mr & Mrs. Wright, Mr. Slomer." Their son, William Edward, was born at sea on 1- June 1834.
