- "Like his father James, John Just was initially a minor farmer of Middletown of Belbeggie, he kept on his property
for the use of his father "the keeping of 2 cows summer and winter". John was later noted as "the proprietor of Belbeggie, Perthshire". John Just died at the young age if 41 years at Lochspout, he left an estate of nine hundered &
sixty three pounds which at the time would have been quite considerable".
