  	The family was living at Silver Stream Upper Hutt at that time but Upper Hutt did not have it's own Doctor until after the turn of the century and in these times Lower Hutt doctors would cover the Upper Hutt area. Doctor Wilford who saw Thomas on the 14th, the day before he died, was on the 17th visiting another patient in Wainuiomata. As travel in those days would have been by horseback he must have spent a lot of time in the saddle
