He was employed as a 'Carter' and he and another carter, Thomas Brown, were living at Crown House with John and Elizabeth Sills, an Agricultural Foreman, in Leadenham, Sleaford. Sleaford is a larger town a little over 20 km NNE of Pointon and Leadenham is a simillar distance beyond.
