- We are an active outdoor nature-loving family of 5 living in beautiful Nelson, NZ. Sadly, my diagnosis with breast cancer weeks after turning 40 has turned our lives upside down. Despite an extensive treatment regime, 3 years later the cancer is back in a lymph node and my liver.
I love my life and especially my amazing family and I am determined to beat the odds to be here for my 3 young children as they grow up. Having lost my own father to cancer aged 46, and my brother aged 20 in an accident, I don?t want my children to have the huge gaps in their family that I have had.

This post is being written by Jeff, Ange's Hubby.
Its been 3 months since Ange last posted on this page. Her last post reached over 2300 people. So we are aware that there may be some people reading this who are not aware that on the 28th of July Ange's journey came to an end. Ange passed way from secondary breast cancer after a long and courageous fight. She passed away at home surrounded by her family. Those of you who were able to attend her service will agree that we gave her a fitting and beautiful celebration of life and I once again wish to thank everyone who helped make that happen.
It still seems all quite surreal really. To think that she is not just down at the shop or off somewhere which friends for an extended weekend is still incomprehensible. We have decided that the only word to describe this is 'dumb'. It lacks intelligence and reason.
However, we also recognise that Ange taught us to have courage, strength, and to live life well. So that is what we are doing. Its incredible how resilient and strong children can be.
We all miss Ange dearly.
Thank you to everyone who has called, cooked, baked, wrote, sent, delivered, picked up, walked, texted, etc over the past few months. It is incredibly appreciated.

I continue to be amazed and overwhelmed by the phenomenal support, kindness and thoughtfulness coming our way from family and friends. If I haven't thanked you personally for something you have done, please know that you are all greatly valued and appreciated - it's just that my brain is a bit foggy!

Loved soulmate of Jeff and adored treasured mother of Kate, Jamie, and Sam. Beloved daughter of Margrit and Roy Davies (Kerikeri) and the late Stephen Legg. Cherished sister of the late Peter Legg and the treasured daughter-in-law of Sheryl and Michael. "Ange brought incredible beauty into our lives" In lieu of flowers donations to the Cancer Society or the Nelson Tasman Hospice would be appreciated. A celebration of Ange's life will be held at Annesbrook Church, Saxton Street, Nelson, Tuesday 2 August 2016
