Notes	Elizabeth Rodger (nee Lancaster) was born in 1872 in Liverpool and emigrated to New Zealand at 8 years. She married John William Rodger in 1897. The Lancaster's residence ('Wood House', 88 Durham Street) was two houses down the street from the Rodger's (78 Durham Street). They married in Elizabeth's family home. They later moved their growing family to Petone around 1900 and John worked in the railway workshops. John died in 1937 from a gastric ulcer (the same condition which caused his father's death).
