- Corporal R Gregor was serving as a volunteer in "A" Company, 5th Battalion, Gordon Highlanders, in Flanders when he was killed in action. He is buried in Row A, Grave 25, of No Man's Cot Cemetery, Boesinghe, Belgium. Boesinghe is a village 3 km north of Ieper, (Ypres) and the cemetery is South- east of the village, on the road to Zonnebeke. His name is in the Book of Remembrance in Edinburgh Castle, and his War Medals are in the Gordon Highlanders Museum in Aberdeen. He was not married.
