- Family Records Centre. Entry for William Smith Jun 1884 in Droitwich Vol6c page 395 It is believed that William and his wife emigrated to NZ in 1930 (Lorraine says 1928) with their 4 youngest sons Richard, Arthur, Charles and Ronald. Frank was already in NZ (1927) and the oldest son William stayed in the UK. Birth date of William I am not 100% - all 3 trees given to me show the date as May 1884 - HOWEVER his marriage certificate dated Dec 1907 states him as being 24yrs old. This would make him born in 1883. [2]
