Passed away peacefully at St Andrews Village Glendowie Auckland 26 November 2017, dearly loved : mother of the late Russell Rogers (Otautau), Lynley Lockwood and son in law Gary Rogers, Heather Birtwistle (Auckland) and Robyn Laurie (Wellington), grandmother of Nicholas, and Sarah Lockwood (London) Penelope Lockwood and Robert McDonald, Fallyn and Beaudene, Birtwistle (Auckland), great grandmother of Amy, Annabel, Amelia Lockwood (London), Zachary and Chloe McDonald (Auckland), sister of Audrey Charteris, Lorna Hayman, and Rosemary Gibson (Timaru) Lynda Cross (Christchurch), the late Ivan Cross and sister in law of Maureen Cross (Waimate), brother n law of Donald Hayman and Trevor Gibson and the late Bill Charteris (Timaru), Jack Rogers (Invercargill), Adelaide and Ray Hawkins (Winton ), past wife of the late William Rogers (Otautau). daughter of the late Tom and Jesse Cross and daughter in law of the late Fred and Mary Rogers, auntie to her nieces and nephews and good friend to many. A special thank you to the caring and compassionate staff at St Andrews and Margret Wilson (Timaru) and her caregivers. Shirley will be sadly missed by everyone.
