Notes |
- David Carroll 1948-1994, was also an old boy of Wellington College, like his father Murray and great uncle Lincoln.
Dave served two tours in Vietnam from1968 to 1972. He was severely wounded by a landmine and was eventually discharged from the army with a permanent disability. David went on to become a farmer in northern NSW, a husband and a father to two daughters, and a poet on the Greek island of Patmos. He died in a motor accident in 1994.
Dave paid a high price in his war service, and our family lost a unique soul far too early. - Peter Carroll
